Gummy Bears, Couture, Barbies, and Cupcake Bras

If this isn't candy couture, then I don't know what is! This beautiful gown is an original by Hissa Igarashi and Sayuri Marakumi that was inspired by Alexander McQueen's 2008 spring/summer collection. Its created from gummy bears...50,000 to be exact (220 pounds of gummy). Neat, huh? Even if it'd be near impossible to really party in.

This is actually really cool to show, especially since during this time there are a lot of gay pride rallies and such going on. It just fits perfectly!

It took 3 weeks to complete and 3 people to lift. Here is a little info on how the dress was made:

First: They created the shape of the dress using wire.

Second: They covered the shape using wax paper.

Third: They painstakingly glued each gummy bear onto the wax paper. A lot of glue....

Needless to say this inspired a lengthy Google search, and here are my results:

And after a while I had to Google one of my biggest inspirations, even if her outfits aren't edible:

I really want to see her movie :( But I have no friends and no car to get to Oxford all by my lonesome. Please don't rub in my face guys, please.

Oh! And check out these Barbies:

I need 'em. Badly. I don't even like Nicki Minaj, but I want her Barbie.

ANYWHO...

But seriously, check out more of Alexander. His work is beautiful - see?

Comments? Complaints? Ideas? Plots to take over the world? Post for me, Babes!

Rising Runway Look

So before I continue on, I want to have a little hipster moment and say that I was doing this before it got big! Joking, but seriously haha. But anywho, it seems that neon eyeliner has been getting bigger and bigger recently. Its not crazy big, but its getting there. Don't you just love these looks:

When I look at these girls I see sweet and soft, but edgy and wild. I adore the clean face with the splash of color. It all seems so fresh! Flirty, even. Now you can buy neon eyeliner at the following places:

Drug stores ($6 or more)
Sally's (Different stores, different stock/prices)
eBay

Or you can do what I usually do. I DO own some of Hard Candy's neon green and yellow but I'm not sure if they still sell it (bought it about two years ago) and let me tell you - IT IS AMAZING. Very vibrant colors. But what I usually do, is "make it myself." From my neon craze, I have a few neon eyeshadows. And I mix them with Medusa's Eyeliner Seal. (scroll the page!)
Now this stuff is awesome. I use it with a large amount of my eyeshadows. I swear, the results are great. It cost me $8 and it has lasted me since maybe 2009 or 2010. But I don't wear it everyday. But still, one or two drops with do that job and its amazing! Try it, girlies. You'll adore it too<3
Well that's all. I have that review coming soooon! Things have been crazy so I'm just getting to it. Hope you guys enjoyed the read!

Jasmine H.

P.S: Try looking on eBay for the Eyeliner Seal. You can possibly get it for the same $8, but no shipping. I did :3   And some GREAT neon eyeshadow is here. When I say this stuff is bright, you can stop traffic!

Color Run

So, I am DYING to do a Color Run! I mean look at this:

Fun, beautiful, and for a great cause!

What the Color Run is, is a 5K run/walk/etc. that travels around the U.S.A. The main purpose of it is for you to brighten your world and have fun with friends and family - not about the fastest. And what happens after you cross the finish line? A party!--complete with bands, food, more colors, etc. Sounds awesome, right? The only real rule is that you have to be in white before the race! That way you can get all of the colors of the rainbow. I pray they end up coming to Tennessee, Mississippi, or Alabama. I really want to do it :(

If you're interested, click here for dates and such.

What do you guys think, fun right? Or have any of you already participated/planned to? Lemme know, Loves!

ASOS Crave!

So, its another late night for me and I'm  browsing shops! I decided to check out the sale items at ASOS and boy did I create a wish list:

Cute stuff, no? The dress I want..no, NEED the most is the pink one with the beautiful pastel stripes (between the color full dress, and the colorful tank paired with black skinnies).

All of the outfits are on the ASOS Curves part of their page. I love that they have hot, fashionable clothes for both plus size girls and smaller girls. For some, they are a little pricey, but hey! It all looks like its worth it :3 Check them out, if you haven't already. You'll love it<3

Tell me about some looks you are craving! Whether its from ASOS or somewhere else. Throw 'em at me!

Rose Shock

So, I've been obsessing over this blog recently. The name of it is Rose Shock. It's by a lovely, creative, and TALENTED girl named Rosette (who I believe is from Finland). I've looked at her blog almost everyday for about two weeks now. Her main focus is make-up (from what I can tell) and she takes a whole new approach to it. I love her looks! She also gives some great reviews (even if they all aren't in english) and it's helped me make some decisions on what brands I'd like to try in the future. I'll post some of her looks and the link. I hope you guys will check her out!

LOOKS:

Look at her please! These are just a few, she gets better and better as you look through her blog! (Even if you can't understand Finnish, it doesn't make her any less amazing!)

Yum!

Things that these have in common: They are all beautifully made! And creative. AND look delicious.
I really want some cake, but being that I am unable to drive to a walmart to get one, I must settle for yogurt pops. Plus it's 3:09 in the morning. I think this calls for some homemade cake! Red velvet, definitely. What's your favorite cake? Or are you more of a pie person?
