Hotty Toddy!

So, its official. I will proudly yell those two words - no matter how much I plan on dipping out in two years. I went to orientation Sunday, spent the night in the dorms - hanging out with MSA buddies - and then another day or orientation on Monday. Its was pretty fun. Is it sad I am more excited about the parties rather than classwork?

But anywho, here was my look for Sunday:

You don't want to see how I looked Monday. I danced the night before, had to use shower gel from a Dr. Pepper Bottle, and use travel sized stuff I grabbed quickly from wal-mart. I'm excited to see how my official nights on campus will turn out.

But yeah, I had fun. Cool people. Hot guys.

Now, we all know I'm not a "rap" kind of girl. Folk/indie/alternative has my heart. (BTW, I'm no longer marrying Alex Gaskarth! Now, its all about John O'Callaghan.)
But I strongly like and agree with the following. They are rapping about some serious stuff:

Are they right, or are they right?

Bye, Loves!

Memphis Day

Hey, Loves!

So I spent that day in Memphis with my mommy yesterday. Pretty fun. Basically, I wanted to show you the cute palette I bought when we visited Sephora.

Its from Sephora's Hello Kitty collection. I got a great deal, it was on sale for $10. Its usual price is $17 and it never changed online. I guess the store just wanted more room for bigger brands, who knows.

The colors are pretty vibrant. Here is a quick swatch I did with my fingers:

I was pretty upset, though, to find that the cream color had cracked by time I got home. I know all pressed shadows are sensitive, but these seem to be super sensitive. I don't think it was wise for me to get it considering how clumsy I am! But yeah, I'm loving it so far. Its kawaii, vibrant, and useful to me. I can't wait to do some looks with it!

I was about to buy Smashbox's Shades of Fame palette, but decided to wait until next Friday. I'm trying to purchase Tarte's discontinued True Blood palette. By time I saved up enough money, they were sold out and didn't get any more in :(

I wish I could show you guys how great this palette truly is. My suitemate was a make-up lover like me, but she was a rich one. Therefore she owned almost every item Sephora sells and she let me use whatever I wanted. She had this palette and I swear I wanted to steal it. I think I may actually love it more than Urban Decay's Naked2 palette - and that says a lot!

But I found a great deal and I'm working on it now :3 You guys will definitely know how it turns out!

Oh. I have orientation tomorrow. Excited? Yes. Hopefully it won;t be as boring as MSA's orientation sessions >.> But I'm gone now, Darlings. Bye!

-Jasmine H.

P.S: Has anyone heard of/used the new 18 Karat Gold nail polish? Gosh, I love it. I highly recommend it. I used some of it and its like, the perfect top coat. Smooth and crystal clear besides the gold. The gold is even smooth, you can't even tell. With glitter, you know, you kind of feel it. It may have a slight roughness to it. This stuff though, is legit. Smooth and beautiful. If I had $30 to throw away, I'd own it. In a heart beat. If only my heart belonged to nails rather than faces/eyes.

Rimmel's Kate Lipstick Review

So, after a long wait I can finally get this to you! My internet has been down, and we finally have it up and running! Now, before I continue, please excuse the bad photos. Still no camera :( Anywho....

Wow. I love this lipstick. It's absolutely amazing, the best in my make-up kit at the moment! I didn't get a "traditional color." I wanted something new, fresh, and funky. So I went with this beautiful deep, wine-colored purple:

The color looks nice against my darker skin. So I'm positive it will look amazing on paler gals (or guys). Here are some lip shots:

This is just with one or two glides! Great color, beautiful pigmentation. It goes on so easily and beautifully! Plus, they are flavored :3 This has a great grape taste to it! And you know what else is great about it? It's like I'm not even wearing lipstick. Its so nice and smooth, I actually forgot that I had it on. I wore it in a little conservative town in South Carolina and forgot it was on, and I got so many stares! I thought they just thought I was crazy, forgot the dark make-up I had on that day.

This would look best with a dark, romantic look. Curls and all! I actually did one (minus the curls), and it was kind of cool. It just enhanced the whole look. I would post a picture but my phone decided to be horrible that day.... What the heck, here you go. But don't laugh at it! Its pretty rough looking and my camera did it no justice!:

Bad lighting, also helped. But don't think I'm blaming outside problems. This wasn't my best work.

The color is actually richer in person. My only con for this brand is that they only have like 5 colors! I tried on the red, and its coming on with me in a few days :3 I also tried this nice coral pink color - it was so pigmented that it look brighter than it was against my skin. So darker and tanner girls might want to watch out for that color (and any bright colored lipstick! Doesn't do much for us, gals).

I seriously recommend this product. Any of Rimmel's products actually, I've had nothing but success when using their items. But this lipstick is like, the bomb.com. I swear it! Check it out, maybe?

Thanks, Dolls!

Rising Runway Look

So before I continue on, I want to have a little hipster moment and say that I was doing this before it got big! Joking, but seriously haha. But anywho, it seems that neon eyeliner has been getting bigger and bigger recently. Its not crazy big, but its getting there. Don't you just love these looks:

When I look at these girls I see sweet and soft, but edgy and wild. I adore the clean face with the splash of color. It all seems so fresh! Flirty, even. Now you can buy neon eyeliner at the following places:

Drug stores ($6 or more)
Sally's (Different stores, different stock/prices)
eBay

Or you can do what I usually do. I DO own some of Hard Candy's neon green and yellow but I'm not sure if they still sell it (bought it about two years ago) and let me tell you - IT IS AMAZING. Very vibrant colors. But what I usually do, is "make it myself." From my neon craze, I have a few neon eyeshadows. And I mix them with Medusa's Eyeliner Seal. (scroll the page!)
Now this stuff is awesome. I use it with a large amount of my eyeshadows. I swear, the results are great. It cost me $8 and it has lasted me since maybe 2009 or 2010. But I don't wear it everyday. But still, one or two drops with do that job and its amazing! Try it, girlies. You'll adore it too<3
Well that's all. I have that review coming soooon! Things have been crazy so I'm just getting to it. Hope you guys enjoyed the read!

Peace, Love, and Crafts,
Jasmine H.

P.S: Try looking on eBay for the Eyeliner Seal. You can possibly get it for the same $8, but no shipping. I did :3   And some GREAT neon eyeshadow is here. When I say this stuff is bright, you can stop traffic!

Chocolate and Lace

So I spent today with my mommy, going all around the south! Which means town, Oxford, Batesville, Memphis, and Southaven. It was quite fun! Here is my OOTD:

 Black Cover Up - Cato
Black Tank - Target
Lace Skirt - Dirt Cheap
Grey/Black Polka Dot Tights - Dirt Cheap
Shoes - Walmart
Ring - Bedazzled
Purse - Cato

It all started with a Caramel Java Chiller from Sonic's and then a good hour and a half nap!

By time we got to Batesville, I was ready to shop! I checked out shoes in Cato - found nothing. Then hit up Payless:

Beautiful shoes! But not worth the $20 they wanted, I bet. The last time I spent $100 in cute shoes there, they started tearing up after my first few wears. I really want them though </3

After this, we headed to Memphis. We went to this cool "Voodoo Shop" that sells awesome stones, candles, oils, etc. We've been going for years for incense and good luck candles. I would give a pic, but I always forget to get one! But they keep this huge tuxedo kitty named Dexter there. He despises human friends and thinks he is the best. I am the first and only person he has ever been friendly to and allowed to pick him up :3 This warmed my heart!

Oh! And I got some new stones too. Peridot, Turquoise, and the other one that begins with a H. It's a beautiful blue and is used for healing. I just wish I remembered the name!

After this, we went to Southaven. I only bought stuff at Target because I had a $20 gift card (though I went $11 over -.-) Here is what I bought:

I'm actually going to do a review on the beauty items! Starting with the lipstick. But anywho, this was my day. Complete with sleep, fast food, laughs, and crappy camera phone pictures. I'm checking out cameras now actually. Not sure when I can get one, so bear with me for a few more months? Love you all. Tell me about your day/week/weekend?

Peace, Love, and Crafts,
-Jasmine H.

P.S.:Got some Choxie Chocolate. Oh, my, am I in heaven<3
