Late Night Baking

So, right before I went beddy bye, I wanted to check out the latest on Elsie's blog. I checked her DIYs, got some ideas. Then looked at the beauty tab and fell in love with braids all over again! And then..I went to that dreadfully delightful treats tab. One look at her beautiful vanilla cupcakes with raspberry filling, I was done for! I just had to do some baking, with hopes to make beautiful cupcakes like hers<3 And here are my final results:

Homemade cinnamon cupcakes with store frosting! I tried to make my own frosting but it never turned out right :( Oh well, I guess I just need to start working once I get some money saved up to buy supplies to mess around with :3 They taste great! I am very proud of myself :3 I plan on making more once I actually have someone to feed them to! Well I need sleep...I have to go on a little trip to Southaven tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. Sadly, no shopping will happen *tear*.  Keep your fingers cross that I get a job! Then I can bombard your feeds with pictures because of a) a new camera and b) new clothes to show you! 'Tis all, my loves.

If you have cool frosting (or cake!) recipes, let me know! Heck, if ya have any recipes you want me to know about (baking or cooking) let me know! I'd be more than happy to try it :D

Tagged!

I'm quite bored, so why not!

Rules:

1. Each person must post 11 things about
themselves on the blog.
2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you, as well as,
creating your own eleven for the people you will tag.
3. Choose eleven people and link them in your blog.
4. Go to their page and tell them.
5. No tags back.
6. You legitimately have to tag.

I was tagged by Ashley.

My Questions:
1. Where do you get your inspiration from?
2. What's your favorite thing about Summer time and why?
3. When you're down, how do you cheer yourself back up?
4. What's your favorite thing to do on your spare time?
5. Do you like to go shopping? If so, what's your favorite things to shop for?
6. What are your favorite things to listen to right now?
7. Are you following your new year's resolutions?
8. What's your favorite dessert to eat/make and why?
9. What are some of your favorite movies?
10. Do you have a make up regime that you stick to?
11. What are your favorite dishes?

My Answers:
1. Everything. Mostly from blogs, pastel colors, others' work (though I don't copy! If I do, its strictly for personal enjoyment!), and much more. Google searches are my best friends!

2. Actually, I don't like it much. I used to adore it, but not so much now. But I used to love spending time with my family with no school stresses. The only thing I find awesome about it now is unlimited reading time and having fun in the water!

3. Music. Books. Blogs. Coffee. Crafting. A good cry!

4. Read, make-up, surf the interwebz, read...

5. Oh, I love it! And I adore shopping for clothes, make-up, and crafting supplies. Oh, and dishes ;3

6. My music tastes are so random. So whatever I'm in the mood for. Right now, I am liking the background noise of my television.

7. I actually forgot my resolution..

8. I adore eating anything with caramel or chocolate. I adore making cupcakes! And cakes in general. I just love decorating them and making them look special!

9. This is hard... umm.. Mulan? Super 8? How to Train Your Dragon? Horror movies? I don't know! >.<

10. Yes! On days I want to look really good and/or I'm fishing for compliments, I go crazy with my palettes. On days I want to look good, I have a typical make-up look I'll do. When I wake-up late or am upset, no make-up.

11. Cups. Cups. Cups. I love cool drinking glasses.

Okay, so here are my questions to whomever wants to answer because I'm too lazy to go out and tag people:

My Questions:
1. What's your favorite drink?
2. What's your favorite "style" (Modern, Steampunk, Retro, etc.)?
3. Favorite blog?
4. What's the most expensive item you own?
5. If you could travel anywhere this summer, where would you go?
6. Do you have any "top secret" cooking recipes?
7. Can you touch your nose with your tongue?
8. What's your number one life goal?
9. Why do you blog/check out blogs?
10. Have you ever had confidence problems?
11. Where do you find inspiration?

If you answer, please link me so I can read them!

Cupcake's Clothes

So I am a bigger lady, in both size and personality! I also tend to love crazy or "weird" things! One of my many personalities is that of a Lolita Girl. When I wear Lolita-ish garb (I haven't saved enough for a legit dress yet D: ) people look at me as if I'm...special. You don't see many plus size ladies that are A) Lolita. B) Confident to wear what they want. C) Both! I, myself, am very confident in my body (after being forced to by theatre - but I am happy for it!) and I love seeing other girls that are plus size and dress how they want!

I found Georgina's blog, Cupcake's Clothes a bit ago and the more I look at it the more I drool!

She's a 22 year old plus size girly from England and she is gorgeous! Her blog has almost everything I love. Lolita, fashion, jewelry, England, pink! And more(: I love all of the little tidbits of her life and fashions. And their are pastels everywhere on her blog...yes<3

I've been feeling down due to some life/family issues and she has given me inspiration for make-up and crafts! I'm excited now :3 Oh! And I am dying to have her outfits and shoes. Those purses aren't looking bad either(: I need to know where she gets them!!!!!

She has also directed me towards new blogs and shops! I am so glad I ran across her blog. I feel like an idiot for not know it before. Check her out, pwease<3

High School Dropout

This is exactly what I am not! I am in fact, officially... a high school graduate :3 Factually, a graduate from the Mississippi School of the Arts! Am I excited? Yes. Depressed? Also yes. I'm going to miss my theatre family so much! But anywho..here goes some pictures:

Mainly pictures of my family and I or my company and I. Boy am I going to miss them! Has anybody else graduated recently? Give me the details if so :3 Love you all, pray for me as I enter "The Adult World" as a college chic!

DIY Glitter Nail Polish

So I am in LOVE with Milani's Jewel FX glitter polish.

But in Wally World its $3.97 and for this girly, that's too much. I won't be able to freely purchase nail polish again until next month and I want glitter nails now. So I had this thought: "I wonder if I mix the acrylic nail glitter with clear nail polish, will it do the same?"
After researching this, I found that it may not be safe. Plus I don't have any more cash in my account right now to order any. So then I had this thought: "Hey! With all of this damn glitter I've collected, I should be able to make my own nail polish!"

And I got this:

This literally cost me a dollar. I used nail polish my mommy gave me, and glitter I recently got from Dollar Tree. So to make it yourself:

WHAT YOU NEED:
-Any clear nail polish
-Any glitter (use one color or mix it up!)
-Throw away surface to work on
....
That's all!

STEPS:

Actually its just two simple steps:
1) Pour glitter (the more you put in the thicker it will be) in the polish.
2) Put the top on and shake it as you normally would to mix up polish you purchased

Then, voila! Just glide it on.

Depending on how much you put in, it may take just two coats. I mixed a medium blue and a light blue packet so I only needed two or three coats.

You can get your glitter ANYWHERE. This is what the glitter I bought from Dollar Tree looks like (in shades of gold/brown):

Great deal, no? You can get shades of pink, blue, gold/brown, black/white, and green. Even cosmetic eye glitter works.

Now the glitter will separate after sitting, but all you have to do is shake it back up! Hope you enjoy!

Hello, Beautiful! (Reviews, Rambles, Kitties)

Hi! So I've been neglecting this blog...but for good reason! The past two weeks have been crazier than the weeks before them! Filled with Macbeth tech week and performances, a bonfire, a banquet, AND senior exams. Now I'm free for the summer!...just about. I graduate this upcoming Thursday :3

But yes! Onwards to what I'd like to type about.

Well I don't actually have anything. So I am just going to say random things:

Make-up. I need some. I went to Sephora the other day, and created a $95 to $100 wishlist. I'd love some advice and what I should get as far as eyeshadow palettes! Regardless, both will live in my make-up case one day, just one before the other. With each product I want, though, I will give a mini review. Because I have sampled each one at least once!

Okay, I know it's a bronzer but I want it for foundation. If you read the reviews, others say that the color is WAY off for it to be a bronzer - way to dark. I tried it last Friday, and it is a beautiful foundation for darker skinned ladies such as myself. It blends wonderfully with my skin, which is a medium, milk chocolate brown. Which is quite enough proof it is not a good bronzer. So yes, great African American (and possibly Indian, Native-American, and Mexican) girl foundation. Bad Caucasian, Asian, etc. bronzer. As a whole, try it before you buy it.

Beautiful palette. My suite-mate is a make-up whore, like me, except she was a rich one. She owns almost every palette that can be found in Sephora and this is one of her favorites...and mine! I don't own it yet (obviously) but she is such a sweetheart that she let me use it whenever I grew tired of my make-up. Honestly, the colors really pop. What I love about the colors is that they look great on all skin colors! She is an ivory color, and the colors glowed. I am a milk chocolate, and the colors glowed! They highlight your eyes in every way. There is no need to try this before you buy it. I guarantee that it is worth it! I just hate that it comes with lip gloss rather than Primer Potion. But you honestly don't need it! I used it every night of Macbeth (hot lights, running to make entrances on the opposite side of the building, and more!) and it never wavered - and each night there was no primer used.

So I only tested this a couple of times when I visited Sephora and I am in love! The colors are very pigmented and they complimented my skin very well. I did not put any on my eye, though I can tell if they compliment the skin on my hand, then they definitely will compliment my eye color! The colors are really warm and bright (but not neon!). They just jump out at you! The store clerk recommended either this or the Naked2 out of all of my other choices. I really want this!

Okay, I haven't tested any of this, but what a great deal! Yes they are sample sized, but that is a lot of sample sized stuff! Yea, or nay?

And this all leads me into my next question: Should I just save for my SLR camera? If you've kept up with my blog, you know that my old camera and memory card was stolen during one of my many train rides home. I've wanted a SLR camera for YEARS now, and I may have enough money from graduation gifts to buy one. Should I? Or should I not? Camera or Make-Up? Make-Up or Camera? Let just hope there will be enough for both :3

Oh! And I'm trying to get a job once again. So if it works, then I can buy one or the other after a few weeks anywho<3

I have a kitty beside me right now. Its my black devil, Danger. She's been affectionate since I've been home! She's so cute :3 And this leads into my new exciting news: I HAVE CLAIMED TWO KITTIES!!!

One is a little slow bunny, named Speedy. He is so small and stupid and cuteeeeee! He's all black (so Danger has a replacement when she dies, jk! But seriously though..) and he has the spaciest look on his face constantly. I love 'im!

And next there is this gray fluff ball that I have named Sir Walter Raleigh,. He is the absolute cutest. Cuter than Speedy maybe. I'm not sure.

Now I require nourishment and liquid refreshments. I shall type later, stay tuned!
