I'm Not Dead Yet

Hi! I know it's been a while since my last post, so I'm doing a little update!

Here is the list of important things I've done recently..things that rock and suck:

1) Grades aren't so hot..they are kind of warm. Hope they aren't cooling down :(
2) Did a 30 hour famine *will do some detail laterr*
3) Constant rehearsals
4) Didn't get into Emory...yeah this sucked the most.
5) Began building a stronger relationship in my Religion
6) Got a new role model that I soooo relate too(:
7) About to watch Talladega Nights!---I love Will Ferrel<3
8) Had 6 new kitties added to my cat family!
9) Helped a friend with her prom dress
10) Did HOT make-up..seriously. I made Bitch Slap look almost like Sugar Pill. <--That's what's up (as the youngins say)/
11) SAW THE HUNGER GAMES!!!
12) Read over 10 books in two weeks.
13) Played Life, Spoons, Uno, Life, and other board games repeatedly for the last 3 days.


So details! I'm dedicating a second post about the famine so... let's start with my new role model!

*****DRUM ROLL*****

The wonderful, Elizabeth I of England.

Why is she my role model? Because I she gives me hope. These past few months I honestly got the sense that I have absolutely no one that I can easily and truly trust and love. Yes I have family and my company members and I love them dearly, but that doesn't put them in the position of where I need them most. She went her whole life only being able to trust one person, at least 100% (ok maybe 95%?) Anywho, though I haven't found that person (s) yet I feel that I may. And she was so powerful, so strong and she didn't need anybody to rely on. She had her own support system - herself. She knew how great she was and she showed all of England. I want to be like her. Powerful, independent, loving, and care for my people (all humans). She is exactly what I want to be.

And Kate Blanchett just made me love Elizabeth I even more :3

So I still have no camera :( So no photo dump of my make-up and shizz. So I'm going to end it with some questions for you all to answer and start my famine post(:

Who is your role model and why? Got any hot make-up you want to show? Didn't you just like adore the hunger games?...the movie. Not the books. How have you guys BEEN recently? Gimme all thuh deets(: Love you, Dearies<3

Summer Bands

Hello, Lovelies! So I feel the need to let you know that still no camera :( CURSE YOU PERSON THAT STOLE MY CAMERA!!! --not seriously, but still. I'm pissed. But anywho...it's spring! Is it me, or does it feel tad bit more like summer? Either way it's nice and warm out, and we still have that beautiful breeze! My second favorite time of the year!

But as I said before, it seems a tad bit more like summer at times. Maybe it's just this good 'ole Missippi weathuh --> I meant to misspell :3 --> But due to this, I've begun thinking about my summer bands! You know, those bands that just scream "Summer is here! Relax! Have fun! Dance!" Here is a little mini list I've have had on my playlist lately! It is bands and songs:

 We The Kings

1) I put them first because they are like, my ultimate summer band! Their beats

are just happy and playful in most songs. It is also partially because I 

first heard them with "Check Yes Juliet" in the summertime. :3

 All Time Low

2) First of all, I'm in a committed relationship with Alex. Girlies stay away, please!

But anywho, they are another band that I heard in the summer, so it is

a key reason of why they are on this list. But though they do have some

slower songs, there are a good amount of fast paced, happy, party songs.

I love dancing around my room in me undies while blaring them!

I first started with "Remembering Sunday." It's slow, but still<3

 3) It is such a great little song! I listen to it year round, but it makes me

think of those fun, late summer nights with friends!

 The Unicorns

4) Ah, another cool band! One of my ex-best friends introduce me to them.

She figured I'd like them because of my love for unicorns..and she was right!

I love that 60's rock feel of their music. It's good sway music(:

Mayday Parade

5) Ok, they are probably on here because I am in love with them. They're music
is good for any time of the year in my opinion. Therefore, they are automatically
a summer band. Along with a spring, fall, and winter band! Great lyrics, great
beats, and just all around awesome! Enjoy!

Well this was a mini list. When summer rolls around I'll put up more good bands and songs to have some fun to! So that's all! I'm off to watching America's Next Top Model reruns. Have a great rest of the day, Loves<3

Make-Up is Sexy

The hotter/edgy-er the better!---if that is either  a) not a work, or b) spelled wrong, sorry! I'm tired but can't sleep... >.> BUT ANYWHO...it seems I have found a new make-up blogger that is full of hot, edgy looks(: Look! :3

Bows and Curtseys

Spectrum Cosmetics

Okay, so I cannot contain my happiness with this brand any longer. I LOVE SPECTRUM COSMETICS -- there I admit it. I've been using their products for a year now and seriously OH MY GOSH!!! Their products are gorgeous!--and work wonderfully against my skintone.

So far I only have four of their colors:
Submarine (a luxurious yellow..and I mean yellow. Not a yellow/gold)

Virgin (a beautiful white)

Fatality (a nice, bright red)

Ferric (a brilliant, deep blue)

They are true to their word with their colors. They even put a swatch of every color range with each eyeshadow. For example:

Color charts like this are really helpful when you purchase their products!

Me being African-American, it is so hard for me to get colors that hold their own against my skin tone. I have these specific colors because these were the colors I would have the most trouble trying to get to appear on my skin. Now that I have them, I don't want to lose them! Comparison of Submarine and MAC Chrome. Very close in color. You may

not can tell in the photo but Submarine is actually better in my opinion.

Compare the two in person and Chrome is a much paler yellow,

And Submarine goes on smoother, I get more out of it.

Imagine how they look when I put primer on! I took these with my phone and in horrible lighting. The red and yellow are much more vibrant. Blue and white also, but the pictures show more of their beauty than they did the other two.

All-in-all I adore their products. I'm purchasing more in the near future and you guys will definitely know when they are in! Thank you lovelies, please check them out! Here is what is on my list to purchase soon:
