Curly&Straight

So as I've mentioned before -I think- I attend an amazing school full of wonderfully artistic and creative people (The Mississippi School of the Arts)!!! And two beautiful girls I absolutely adore have began their own line, Curly&Straight! They are showcasing each of their individual crafty sides and I believe you should definitely look at them!

As you can see, they have a wide range of items. Morgan (Curly) makes amazing feather jewelry and beautiful artwork (she should give me the crayon one, jussayin...) and Sarah (Straight) makes cards, beanies, scarves, and A LOT more! Both are wonderful girls with so much talent (especially with singing and acting) and if you don't like their stuff, I'll hunt you down. Thank you, Loves! You can also find their page on my "Links" page like always<3

Childhood Dreams

Lately, I've really been stuck in my childhood! From the memories of playing Super Mario with my brother and sister to all of the silly songs I was in love with! I miss those times, even if I was quiet and had no friends besides my siblings. I was never upset unless I didn't get that new Barbie and even then I would get over it after an hour or so! Ah, being a child was awesome. I had the right idea when I would run around and yell "I AM NEVER GETTING OLDER!!!!" Yup, I was a pretty smart kid! Do any of you guys remember this song? I've been singing it constantly for almost a week now!:

LYRICS

It took too long, it took too long
It took to long for you to call back
And normally I would just forget that
Except for the fact it was my birthday
My stupid birthday

I played along, I played along
I played along, it rolled right off my back
But obviously my armor was cracked
What kind of boyfriend would forget that?
Who would forget that?

The type of guy who doesn't see
What he has until she leaves
Don't let me go
'Cause without me you know you're lost
Wise up now or pay the cost'
So you will know

You're not livin' till you're livin'
Livin' with me
You're not winnin' till you're winnin'
Winnin' me
You're not gettin' till you're gettin'
Gettin'to me
You're not livin' till you're livin'
Livin' for me

This is the potential breakup song
Our album needs just one
Oh baby please, please tell me

We got along, we got along
We got along until you did that
Now all I want is just my stuff back
Do you get that?
Let me repeat that, I want my stuff back

You can send it in a box
I don't care just drop it off
I won't be home!
'Cause without me you know you're lost
Minus you I'm better off
Soon you will know!...

You're not livin' till you're livin'
Livin' with me
You're not winnin' till you're winnin'
W-w-w-winnin' me-e-e

You're not gettin' till you're gettin'
Gettin'to me-e-e
You're not livin' till you're livin'
Livin' for me...

You can try, you can try
You know I know it'd be a lie
Without me you're gonna cry
So you better think clearly, clearly
Before you nearly, nearly
Mess up the situation
That your gonna miss dearly, dearly, c'mon

You're not livin' till you're livin'
Livin' with me
You're not winnin' till you're winnin'
W-w-w-winnin' me

You're not gettin' till you're gettin'
Gettin'to me
You're not livin' till you're livin'
Livin' for me

This is the potential breakup song
Our album needs just one
Oh baby, please, please tell me

This is the potential makeup song
Please just admit you're wrong
Which will it be? Which will it be? la la la la la la
la la la la la la la la la la la la la la

Shop-A-Holics Anonymous

So, during my latest shop-a-holic mood, I ran across some awesome new stores (who have all been so gracious enough to help support Rose Slip Couture) and I just thought I'd share them with you!

First I ran across Kat's Treasure Shop.

This shop is like heaven to me! Jewels/Pearls/Beautiful Beads (and I have no idea why I capitalized all of that) are right up my alley. This is some beautiful artwork! I adore about 98% of her shop! The only word I can say that would truly describe her work is breathtaking and that is all there is to be said.

After that, aselfportrait .

I literally squealed when I found this shop, and it takes a lot to make me do that. I squealed because I realized I had actually found this shop before but just forgot to bookmark it so it was forever lost to me! Now I have the site and I can shop all I want!....once I get cash! There is some seriously adorable things in here. There are some really creative pieces here. She takes simple perler bead pieces to a whole new level or adorability (and yes, I had to create a new word to prove my point). I'm dying to have that leopard print necklace.

After these two, I came across Bambina's Boutique

Now I'm not a fan of the bottle cap jewelry, but her work is starting to change me. Her work is different from all of the other bottle cap jewelry I've seen which comes off as tacky/preteen/too girly. She takes a different approach and I'm liking it! Check out her Facebook, she has more photos of her other work along with bottle caps in progress! Great stuff!

And after perusing these stores, I finally came across Gwyllion's Accessories

I'm in love. That is all I can simply say. If there is anyone that DOESN'T love this shop, please inform me so I can pay you a little visit. This is like a dream world for the girly girl side of me. I have sent this site to relatives and friends so they know where to Christmas shop for me. I'm determined to have at least 5 of her items before I die. This stuff is amazing in so many ways. I think this was the perfect way to end this little post!

Well I hope you guys loved this stuff as much as I did!..and do! They'll be posted on my links page if you ever want to check them out but don't feel like searching for this post! Thank you loves<3

P.S. the owner of Gwyllion's Accessories has a lovely little art shop too: NummyBerry Art. Sadly I can't get any pictures up but I assure you it is beautiful!

Make-Up #2 (Lips)

So, lately it seems as if there are a lot more ladies wearing lipstick! I've not too long ago started myself, and through personal experience I've figured out a few things (though the majority of you people out there have probably known these for quite some time now). Anywho, this is was I've realized:

Tip 1:
Primer is your friend. Even if you have color stay lipstick, primer will never hurt. And if you prefer to buy the cheap dollar lipstick opposed to the okay/good quality lipstick that may pricey (don't be offended, all but one of my lipsticks cost under $2.50) then primer will definitely save you from the constant reapplying.
I personally like Too Face's Lip Insurance primer. I've had a small tester tube of it since around June or July and it's still lasting me!

Tip 2:
Lip illusions. They are actually quite simple to create. I personally have full lips. The color of lipstick I mostly wear is red and of all different shades. Something I've noticed is the brighter the color the fuller my lips look. To fix the problem, instead of cover my full bottom lip with lipstick I simply leave a bit of my lip bare. People pay more attention to the shape of my lipstick rather than the shape of my lips, and the lipstick instantly makes them look smaller! (I hope to have pictures up soon to give you a visual example!)

Tip 3:
Always choose the shape of your lipstick carefully. There are some of all different shapes (curves, round, cat head) and this can affect how easily your lipstick goes on and how much it covers! I've found the a lipstick with a nice, deep curve is perfect for my full lips. I also find it's easier to just apply using the lipstick straight from the tube rather than using a brush or my finger. Whenever I do make-up for girls with thinner lips, I find that it's easier for my to apply lipstick that has a rounded end to their lips. But if they purse/pucker their lips enough you can easily apply lipstick that has a curve in it. I've also found it easier to use a brush with applying lipstick to people with thin lips.

All in all I hope you guys found some type of knowledge through these tips (though I doubt they were news to most,,or all...or you). Please keep and eye out for more tips your probably already know!

-Jasmine H.
